Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Frankfurt Airport + Cologne, Germany
Upon arrival at the airport in Frankfurt will take the train to our hotel in Cologne, Germany, where we will spend 2 nights exploring Cologne. This area of Germany is best known for the Rhine River, Gothic Cathedrals, Kölsch beer halls, and is home to over 7 Christmas markets. We will head straight to the iconic Cologne Cathedral Christmas Market followed by our group welcome dinner.
We won't keep you up too late tonight, as we know it will have been a long travel day.
Day 2
Cathedral, Christmas Markets, & Shopping.
Enjoy breakfast on your own time before we depart for the day from the hotel lobby.
We will visit the Cologne Cathedral (Kolner Dom), one of Europe's most breathtaking Gothic Cathedrals and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral took over 600 years to complete. After the Cathedral we will continue our exploration of the multiple Christmas Markets in Cologne followed by free time to explore Cologne at your own pace and walk the German street of Schildergasses for high end & designer shopping or visit the Chocolate Museum, followed by a group dinner that evening.
Day 3
Strasbourg, France
Wake up and grab breakfast because today we are heading to Strasbourg, France, a magical Alsatian city filled with cobblestone streets, historic canals, charming cafes, and one of the most famous Christmas markets in Europe! After we get settled in our hotel, located in the heart of Strasbourg's historic center, we will have lunch together followed by the afternoon and evening free to explore the Strasbourg Christmas Markets and enjoy a French dinner at your leisure.
Day 4
Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg & Wineries
After breakfast our private driver and local guide will escort us through the breathtaking Alsace countryside for a day filled with history, wine, and storybook charm. We will begin with a visit to the magnificent Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, a beautifully restored medieval castle perched high above the vineyards with sweeping views of the region. After exploring the castle, we’ll continue along the famed Alsace Wine Route for tastings at two carefully selected local wineries, including a leisurely lunch hosted at a winery surrounded by rolling vineyards. The afternoon will conclude with visits to traditional fairytale villages known for their half-timbered homes, cobblestone streets, charming shops, and magical Alsatian atmosphere that feels straight out of a Christmas postcard.
Day 5
Colmar: The Little Village That Stole Our Hearts
Today after breakfast we’ll enjoy a scenic short train ride from Strasbourg to the enchanting Alsatian village of Colmar, often considered one of the most beautiful small towns in France. Upon arrival, our private local guide will lead us on a walking tour through Colmar’s charming cobblestone streets while sharing the rich history, culture, and traditions that make this fairytale village so beloved. Guests will discover colorful half-timbered homes, winding canals, hidden squares, and the unique French-German influence that defines the Alsace region. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore Colmar’s magical Christmas markets, boutique shops, cafés, and festive atmosphere before we return to Strasbourg for the evening.
Day 6
Frankfurt Farewell & Christmas Cheer
Today we’ll depart Strasbourg by train and journey to Frankfurt for our final evening together in Europe. Upon arrival, guests will have time to explore the festive Frankfurt Christmas Market, enjoy luxury shopping, sip traditional German apple cider, showcasing one of Frankfurt’s most beloved traditions. Spend your final day soaking in the holiday atmosphere, enjoying the charm of the city at your own pace, and making a few last unforgettable memories together before we return home.
Day 7
Bon Voyage!
This morning we will depart for the airport to fly back home.

Please Note: Because of how in advance trips open, the final itinerary may have activities in a different order than presented here. Should any activities not be possible for our dates, we will replace with an alternate that we think will be equally as lovely.
Additionally, because of the small limited group size all reservations and payments are nonrefundable. We understand life happens, so please let us help you purchase travel insurance just in case!
